I found a recipe for a new cake and had to try it out yesterday. I was going to take a picture of it after I put the glaze on it, unfortunately it did not last long enough for me to get a snap shot of it. It had a nice root beer after taste to it and was very moist. I do believe next time I might try something different so there is a more root beer taste to it. It also gave me an idea for another type to try out later. The next time I will take a picture right away before it get gobbles up :)

More cheese cake
I love to experiment with new flavors of cheesecakes. My good friend Stephanie loves peanut butter and so for her birthday a few months ago I made one for her. This one had a layer of chocolate on top and it was so hard to cut through. The peanut butter was so good and made the house smell overnight. So I wanted to improve on the topping. I made the peanut butter cheesecake and this time I drizzled chocolate over the top and added chopped reeses cups. It was great! There was barley a sliver of a piece left over that night.

Strawberry Cheesecake
Once you get the sugar and butter mixed in with the crumb you press it into a spring form pan. After you get it all nice and flat and up the sides you put it in the fridge. Some say to bake it, but I prefer to refridge instead. The crust stays together better.
Next get some room temp cream cheese and whip it up till it is light and fluffy.
At this point you add in the wet ingredients, which at this point is my little secret. I will tell you there is 3 eggs and also lemon juice.
After blending the cheesecake is nice and smooth. Pour it into your crust and then bake.
Looks so smooth and silky, awesome!
Swirl in strawberry sauce into the top of the cheesecake. Bake at 300 for 53 min.
The finished product! Can not wait till eat it tomorrow night. You need to chill the cheesecake overnight so it has time to firm.
